Lissa's First Scribble & My Sis's Menyambut Menantu Kenduri

Still remember that last year Lissa won a giveaway from mommy nadia?
The first time she got it, instead of drawing with it, she put it inside her mouth. So i kept it away til i think she's ready for it.
Then, one day, i saw Lissa was running around while holding a pencil on her left hand and a book on the other. I was surprise to see she squat down and started to write. wow! how time flies! last time i remember, every single thing she held, she'll put inside her mouth. now she knows what should be eaten and what shouldnt.

Her 1st Scribble

On Saturday, we went to Tampin to send my sis for her menyambut menantu at her husband's. I brought along her travel scribbler to make sure that she didnt feel bored. Just look at her, enjoying her scribbler. A big Thanks to Mommy Nadia & Abang Adam!

When we arrived, a bunch of people have been waiting for us. felt like a vvip :)

My new teeth

Hello mommies!
Today i would like to show you my brand new teeth
Here it is!! My two big kapak teeth, as my mom said! Now I really love to bite anything, especially my mom! Abah always told me not to bully my mom, but i think it has been one of my top favourite activities nowadays.
Last night, my mom showed me Barney and Friends. I was so excited that i sat quietly and surprisingly behaved all the 25 minutes course of the dvd (oh btw, i would like to say thank you so much to my Pak Lang who bought this dvd and brought it all the way from Jakarta)
This is me, watching Barney while meniarap
My mom was screaming when i went near the tv. Oh, wut's wrong with that?
Now, i behaved ..

Special posed for all mommies out there!

Flying While Pregnant, Can I do it?

This has been a question to me for quite some time now.
This is what i found :
A common question is how safe is it to travel by air during the first and last trimester of your pregnancy.

Well the good news is that there is no real danger to you or your developing baby if you choose to travel by commercial airliner during your pregnancy up to about 35 weeks or, unless you have certain complications such as severe anemia, sickle cell disease, clotting disorders and placental insufficiency, as these can place even more risk on you and your baby. (hmm.. that means i'm able to fly until mid-April this year)
One of the more common concerns is what effect the air pressure will have on your baby, however there is no need for any concern - as the cabin of the air plane is pressurized to a safe level, and your body easily adjusts to the changes.

Another common concern is that you will in some way be exposed to electromagnetic radiation from the sun at high altitudes, especially since the effects of being exposed to radiation during pregnancy are well understood. (oooh, that sounds scary!)

It is true that at higher altitudes there is an increase of exposure, but this level is not in dangerous for the average pregnant women who may be flying. If you are concerned about the possible exposure to high radiation levels, then please consult with your health care provider.
Although there is no immediate danger to woman who fly in the early stages of pregnancy, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that the safest time to fly while pregnant is between weeks 18 and 24. This is because that this is generally the time when there is less chance of a miscarriage, and before any chances of premature labor.
Now, i know..
you must be wondering where'll i go?
Hint?
Since i'm in a project right now, dealing with our simultanenous engineering partner from Isuzu, everything will liase with Isuzu Japan. All the production trial and pdi must be done at Japan. but initially, i'll be auditing a few material suppliers at Osaka. but that still depends on our bosses approval.
the good thing is that now i dont have to pump for Lissa, and Lissa can definitely be left without me.. :)
And before the second baby comes, I still have my "freedom", right? after all, first thing, need to get approval from the big boss aka mr hubby. boleh kan, yang? it wouldnt be long.. for few days only. Let's see how he'll be left alone with Lissa :) hihihi

On my 22nd Week

Last week, i went for a monthly checkup with Dr Dahlia - a soft spoken and gentle person. She was also the one who did sunat Lissa the other month (check out my sis's blog about it here)
Alhamdulillah, everything looks normal. the baby was very very active (so as right now, as i am typing, he/she keeps on kicking my belly). The doc tried to peek at the gender, but she couldnt confirm if it's a boy or a girl. as for now, 60% looks like a boy. but the gender doesnt really matter to us. as long as the baby is healthy, we are more than thankful.
My weight has increased rapidly. I gained another 3.5 kilos this month (same as my pre-pregnancy weight - since i lost almost 4 kg during the 1st trimester), though i dont think i change my eating habit. Early morning breakfast, morning breakfast, lunch, some munching time and dinner. As usual. So i conclude, this must be the baby.. ehehe :)
Yes, i'm getting bigger.I noticed people looked at me twice, which i believed was because they wanted to confirm it's either my growing belly is due to pregnancy or gas bloating? hahaha
I noticed that it's hard for me to walk faster, as usual. as i recalled at this time on my first pregnancy, i was so active that i could easily run or walk fast (click here). it was just a matter of climbing stairs.
Here is what i read in the pregnancy website:
The grow must go on! No wonder you’re getting so big, you’re now housing a wonder-baby who weighs nearly a pound and measures nearly a foot in length. Their perfect little pancreas is now further developed and they’ve also started producing their own hormones! Your baby's future in the circus as a world-famous tight-rope-walker is secure: their inner ear is now developed to the point that they have their own sense of balance. Lucky for your little explorer, balance also promotes physical dexterity, which has them actively feeling out their surroundings where skin, body parts, and the resident umbilical cord are the big sensory experiences. Your foot-long baby, is looking a bit like an oversized raisin right now as more and more wrinkles are showing up each week. Not to worry, all that excessive wrinkling is just their skin’s way of planning ahead for the time when they’ll start piling on that irresistible baby chub.
I guess that's it for today. I'll find another time tomorrow for Lissa's new progress...

The Events : The Birthday, The Engagement & The Wedding

Happy New Year 2011 everyone!!

Multiple events occured - and now the updates..

First event : My hubby's Surprise Birthday Party - 18122010

As i mentioned in my last entry, his birthday was on 18th December 2010. I gathered along my officemates aka my bestfriends aka my hubby's friends : Saniah, Dayang (along with her husband n lovely son, Anas) and Kak Zana and Abg Man ; his son, Ajat and his friends ;  invited along my childhood friends aka my husband's FB friends : Azura & Zaidy ; and of course my big helpers of the event other than Saniah, Dayang & Kak Zana : my sisters (Nani, Ara & Abby).
Since my husband was on leave on that day (last minute info i got from him, less than 24 hrs of the event), i asked him to bring me and Lissa to Sunway Pyramid, just to make sure we were not at home for my sisters and friends prepared to surprise him. I bought a Happy Birthday banner, balloons and other decoration items.
We went back from Sunway around 8 pm and i asked him to buy bread and drinks at my apt's grocery store while i ran to my apt with Lissa. All of them were waiting for us, switched off lights and anticipated for him to come in. The funny thing was Lissa was laughing out loud when she saw us trying to hide inside the apt.
About 15 mins later, he got to the door, gave Salam, and of course i didnt answer it out loud, he opened the door, and we screamed "Happy Birthday!" and popped the poppers. He was so surprised that he shut the door, and opened it back with a surprised look! the moment was so precious..
Below are the after party pictures (all the before and during party pix were with my sis..huhu)
